| Long Island Artist - Robert Schoenfeld |
Dr. Robert Schoenfeld is a semi-retired physician who has maintained a strong interest in Photography throughout his medical career.
He had two photographic exhibits given to him by the prestigious National Art Club, located at Gramercy Park in New York City.
His first exhibit was in 1995, which ran for a month, consisted of traditional photographs. His second exhibit at the National Art Club was in 1997 and was called Cosmos.
Cornelia Seckel, editor of the Art Times, who viewed his Cosmos exhibition, wrote, in her review of May 1997, it was hard to walk away from & Each work is a meditation.
Dr. Schoenfeld had developed a new photographic technique. He had combined photography, with other art media, to produce three dimensional colored photos of the cosmos.
Recently Bob has perfected his technique and what he is now able to do, surpass his earlier efforts. His images are not computer generated but are only computer enhanced such as cropping, brightness, contrast etc.
As recently as this past June 2011, he had 15 of his Cosmos photographs on display at the gallery in Huntingtons Cinema Arts Centre.
Dr. Schoenfeld enjoys all types of photography and is looking forward to participating in the Long Island Photographic Gallery.
